Unravel Two isn't subtle with its metaphors, and that's entirely okay. You play as two "Yarnys"—tiny creatures made of colorful yarn—who are physically tethered to one another by a single thread.
To navigate the beautiful, oversized natural environments, you have to use that connection.
Flowing Together
The platforming relies on the thread between you. You'll act as an anchor point while your partner bravely rappels down a cliff face, swinging like a pendulum to reach a far-off branch.
The yarn connecting you isn't a restriction; it's a lifeline.
If one of you is more experienced with video games and the other gets stuck on a tricky jump, the game offers a loving solution:
- Piggyback Riding: You can hold a button to literally weave your two characters together.
- Carry to Safety: The experienced player can then carry the other through the difficult section, dropping them safely on the other side.
This creates an environment completely free of frustration, emphasizing teamwork and shared awe at the stunning graphics.
